How soon will you see results from Botox or Fillers

Botox Injections can take a few days to a week to fully take effect.

Fillers will be visible instantly – although you may need to take into account any swelling which may occur soon after.

What should you do after your treatment?

  • Do not rub or massage your face for 24 hours.
  • Avoid vigorous exercise, using saunas or sunbeds for 24 hours.
  • Do not touch your face, bend over repeatedly or lie down for 4 hours after the treatment.
  • Don’t take Aspirin or Ibuprofen as this may increase bruising.

What are the side effects of Cosmetic Injections?

You may not have any side effects, although with any Medicine – including Botox – side effects are possible. These include headaches or flu like symptoms, and bruising, swelling or stinging at the injections site in the first 24 hours. It’s also possible to get some muscle weakness and drooping of eyelids or asymmetry. Very rarely, problems such as blurred vision can happen or difficulty swallowing.

With Fillers it’s possible to get a bruise or some swelling.

  • You’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Your skin is infected.
  • You are unwell.
