Milia, Skin Tag & Blemish Removal

Do you have milk spots or milia that you want to get rid of? These stubborn little spots are often mistaken for whiteheads and can be difficult to remove on your own. At Radiant Living, we specialise in milia removal, skin tags removal, and other blemish treatments using advanced techniques.

As you can see from the photos (which are all our own results), we are experts in milia, skin tag and blemish removal.

Even if your milia or skin tags are in difficult areas such as eyelids, we can remove them. We can also remove other blemishes such as skin tags, colourless moles, sebaceous hyperplasia and other lumps and bumps.

Types of Blemishes we Treat

Milia Removal: We’ll use plasma technology to ‘vaporise’ tiny particles of skin and pop out the milia spot. You may have a tiny crust where this has taken place, a bit like a scab, which should disappear within a few days.

Skin Tag / Lesion Removal: If you’re fed up with a skin lesion such as a skin tag – you don’t need to put up with it any longer. The procedure to remove it is relatively quick and easy using Plasma technology. Expect a small scab to form immediately afterwards which will heal and drop off within a week. We can remove skin tags on any area of the face or body.

Colourless Mole: We can remove colourless moles using Plasma. We may need to carry out 2 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart, it depends on how large it is. You will get a scab which will drop off, virtually without a trace. The photo of the mole on the side of the nose you can see on this page – took 2 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart.

Xanthelasma: This is when you get fatty, yellowish deposits on the eyelids. We can also remove Xanthelasma, usually in 1-2 treatments.

Your Questions Answered

What are Milia?

Milia are small, white or yellowish cysts that form when keratin (a type of protein) gets trapped beneath the skin’s surface. Unlike acne or whiteheads, milia do not have an opening, making them impossible to squeeze out. They commonly appear on the face, particularly around the eyes, cheeks, and forehead, but can also develop on other parts of the body.

If you’re looking for milia removal near me in Wigan, our experienced team offers safe and effective treatments.

Different Treatments for Milia

At Radiant Living, we offer a range of milia removal treatments to safely and effectively eliminate these stubborn white bumps. Our treatments are tailored to suit different skin types and preferences, ensuring the best possible results with minimal discomfort.

Advanced Electrolysis for Milia Removal

This method uses a very fine heated needle to pierce the milia and deliver an electrical current that melts it away. Electrolysis is highly effective and often requires just one treatment. Afterwards, the area may appear slightly red with a small pinpoint mark, but this fades quickly.

Micro-Lance Extraction

Micro-lance treatment also uses a fine needle to create a tiny opening in the skin, but instead of melting the milia, the spot is manually drawn out, similar to removing a splinter. This method provides instant removal and is ideal for certain types of milia. After the treatment, the skin may be slightly red, with a small visible dot where the needle entered.

Plasma Pen Milia Removal

The Plasma Pen generates plasma energy that vaporises the milia. This advanced technique usually requires just one session and creates a brown carbon scab in the treated area, which naturally falls off within 5–7 days. This is a highly precise and effective treatment for targeted blemish removal.

Fractional Laser for Milia

A Fractional Laser works by resurfacing the skin and vaporising tiny particles, including milia. While this method is effective, it is typically not the first choice for milia removal, as other techniques are more targeted and require less recovery time. However, Fractional Laser can be beneficial for improving overall skin texture and reducing other blemishes.
