Are you a bit baffled by all the different lash treatments on offer?
With so much choice, it’s easy to get confused!
So here’s a straight forward guide telling you what you need to know…
Nouveau Semi-Permanent (Classic) Lashes – are for long term wear.
Sometimes called ‘Classic Lashes’, they are applied to your own lashes 1 on 1, to give you a fuller and/or longer look. You can opt to have these done as a ‘half-set’ or a ‘full-set’. The difference is in time taken and therefore fullness. So more lashes are applied in the full set. You should maintain these with regular top-ups, approx every 2-3 weeks.
Time taken: 1hr – 1hr 30mins
Lasts: Months if maintained.
Maintenance: Should be topped up with 30-40 mins maintenance appointments.
Why choose these: if you feel like you’re never happy with your lashes and want to have longer, fuller looking lashes on a long term basis.
Nouveau Express Lashes – are for short term wear
Using the same lashes, and same glue, these lashes look almost identical to Classic Lashes. However they are not 1 on 1. Instead 1 false lashes may be applied to 2 of your own lashes. Perfect if you’re going away for 2 weeks or to a special occasion, or if you just don’t have time for Classic Lashes. They need to be removed after 2-3 weeks. As 1 false lashes may be stuck to 2 of your lashes (1 potentially older lash and 1 newer) if you don’t have them removed, it could result in some of your lashes being pulled out.
Time taken: 30 mins
Lasts: 2-3 weeks
Maintenance: Can’t be topped up, must be professionally removed
I-Lift – Lash Lift treatment is for your natural lashes.
I-Lift (also referred to as Lash lift or LVL) is a treatment for your natural lashes. So there’s no glue or false lashes involved. Great if you don’t want to have anything stuck to your own lashes.
This treatment creates a lift (a bit like a perm) and the appearance of extra volume and length, with a tint included. You need a patch test first.
Time taken: 1hr 10 mins
Maintenance: Keep them dry for 24 hours after treatment.
Lasts: Up to 6 weeks
Weekend Lashes (also called Party Lashes)
These are applied using a cluster of lashes which are applied on top of your lashes. Perfect for a party night, or weekend away, although not as natural looking as the other lashes. A choice of lengths, from a more subtle to an extra long look.
Time taken: 20 mins
Lasts: for a long weekend
Maintenance: Can’t be topped up
Russian Volume Lashes – are for a dramatic lash look – and long term wear.
These are applied exactly like Classic Semi-Permanent Lashes. However instead of applying 1 false lash on 1 of your own lashes, 4 or 5 very fine false lashes are applied on 1 of your lashes. Hence they also get the name 4D (or 5D or 6D) You should maintain these with regular top-ups, approx every 2-3 weeks.
Time taken: 1-2 hrs
Lasts: Months if maintained.
Maintenance: Should be topped up with 30-40 mins maintenance appointments.
Why choose these: If you want dramatic, extra full lashes on a long term basis.
So there’s a lash service for everyone! You don’t need to look like you’ve got false lashes to have great lashes.
